Kalim Bechara is delighted to invite you to “Still Standing, Still Dancing,” a solo exhibition by Jordanian artist Abdallah Al Kayed, on Thursday, February 12, at 6 PM.

“Still Standing, Still Dancing” brings together works shaped by instinct, emotion, and personal narrative. Through bold color, raw line, and symbolic figuration, Al Kayed creates paintings that are deeply expressive and human. Working intuitively, he allows imperfection, gesture, and movement to remain central, using animals, objects, and recurring symbols as emotional markers rather than literal narratives.

Influenced by lived experiences across cultures, the works explore identity, connection, resilience, and contradiction, where joy and tension coexist. Presented in Beirut, the exhibition invites viewers to feel, to persist, and to keep dancing.

The show will remain on view until March 21, 2026, at Kalim Bechara Art Gallery, Downtown.
